Cold Roof Installation

This client's roof was originally designed and built without ventilation. The lack of ventilation caused ice dams to form each winter, which eventually led to interior leaks. As part of a roof replacement for this client, we installed a new cold roof ventilation system using a lattice work of lumber and new OSB roof sheathing. With the added ventilation, warm interior air can now escape through the lattice work and out through the new ridge vent instead of resting against the roof sheathing, melting the snow on top, and causing damaging ice dams along with costly interior repairs.
